Beragala – Wellawaya is a route to danger, warns DMC

Due to the threat of landslides transportation on the Beragala – Wellawaya route has been deemed risky by the Disaster Management Centre.
Assistant Director of the Badulla District Disaster Management Centre, E.L.A.M. Udaya Kumara stated the threat of landslides have occurred in the Ranasinghagama area which falls alongside the main road.
He warned that said the location has been named  a high risk area.
