Parliament police has prevented an attempt by MP Vadiwel Suresh to
take a petrol can into the Parliament threatening to set himself on fire
a short while ago on Saturday, MP Vadiwel Suresh earlier yesterday demanded the Government to take immediate steps to increase the basic salary of estate employees.
He also went into say he would commit suicide inside the Parliament premises if the relevant authorities fail to address the issue with immediate effect.
Vadiwel Suresh also pointed out that the basic daily salary of the estate employees have not been increased since last March.
