A new traffic plan will be implemented in Colombo in weekday afternoons to ease the congestion, the police said.The decision to introduce the new traffic plan came due to heavy traffic along Sri Jayewardenepura Road from the Parliament and Battaramulla towards Colombo between 4.30 p.m. to 6.00 p.m.
The traffic plan will be introduced from Thursday (21) for vehicles coming from Sri Jayewardenepura Road (Ayurveda junction to Nawala) and Pittala junction to Malpara junction in Colombo.
The police announced that a part of the road from Boralesgamuwa to Dehiwala will also be temporary closed near the Weras Ganga bridge from tomorrow 8.00 a.m. to Wednesday 4.00 p.m. due to road constructions.
