Over 45 Dengue cases in Colombo during past six days

A special three-day Dengue eradication programme will be conducted in the areas that fall under the Colombo Municipal Council starting today, Thursday January 7.

Chief Medical Officer at the CMC Dr. Ruwan Wijayamuni said that this step was taken due to the rapid spread of Dengue cases in the past few days. It has been reported that during the past six days, 48 dengue cases have been reported in Colombo.

Dr. Wijayamuni added that the Dengue eradication programme will be especially carried out in Mattakuliya, Mutwal, Grandpass, Wanathamulla, Kuruduwatta, Kirulapone and Wellawatta.
