Targeting of Makkah region by a ballistic missile
by Iranian-backed Houthis is a provocation and an offense which has hurt
the feelings of one-and-a-half billion Muslims across the world, said
President of the Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Mosques Sheikh
Abdurrahman Al-Sudais.In a press statement issued on Saturday, Sheikh Sudais stressed that any aggressor against the Grand Mosque will face utter destruction and punishment from Allah.
He stressed that the Kingdom was a red line that should not be crossed.
“This heinous act will strengthen the determination of our brave soldiers who are protecting the religion and the nation,” said Sudais.
He prayed to Allah Almighty to maintain the Kingdom’s security and stability.
His sentiments echoed across the world as Muslim leaders, masses and organizations condemned in one voice this provocative act by the Houthis.
The European Islamic Conference said that such a terrorist act is a pre-planned move to realize the Persian Safawid goal in the region that begins with the destruction of the Two Holy Mosques.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Secretary General of the conference Dr. Mohammed Bishari urged the international community to indict the Houthi militias and countries supporting them.
Imams in Spain called the missile attack a terrorist act.
Darul Ifta of the Philippines stressed that Muslims in the Philippines stand by the Kingdom in combating the Houthi militias and their supporters.
In Rabat, the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation said the criminal act is a provocation as well as an attempt to destabilize the security and stability of Saudi Arabia.
The Grand Mufti of Hong Kong Sheikh Mohammed Arshad disapproved criminal acts conducted by the Houthi militias, supported by Iran, which reached the peak with the targeting of Makkah with missile.
