Minister Arjuna Ranatunga has submitted nominations for the post of Vice President at the Sri Lanka Cricket elections.
The World Cup winning former Sri Lankan captain said he submitted nominations this morning.
Ranatunga, who is the Minister of Ports and Shipping, stated that he is not contesting for the position of SLC President due to the requirement for candidates to have serves at least two years as an executive committee member.
Arjuna’s brother former SLC secretary Nishantha Ranatunga, Deputy Speaker of Parliament and former cricket board chairman Thilanga Sumathipala and Sumith Perera have submitted nominations to contest for the post of President of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC).
The election is scheduled to be held on January 03 while today is the closing date for submitting nominations.
